What is active communication coaching?

Well, the title should say it all. But let's skip the title and dig a little deeper into what active communication coaching really is. Sure, anyone can learn anything these days using the Internet. But what are we really learning when we read and learn? Reading is a great way to learn something, but is it really a great way to improve? I think the reading should be taken with a grain of salt. Reading covers one aspect of learning. Doing is the rest. We can sit and read all day, but in essence, we are just filling our minds with information and without experience.

This is what active communication coaching is. It is learning communication and using it on a daily basis. Therefore, actively improving. Active communication coaching should be the only way to learn your communication skills, because learning by experience will always prevail over learning information; Why? Because the learning experience is about how information works and cooperates with YOUR life and style. If you are just reading and thinking "Welp, I have mastered that" then you are very disoriented. When you really go out and start doing it, you soon realize that you are not as smooth as you thought you would be. This will cause a twist in your game plan, representing everything you read as theory, rather than fact. Actively going out and working on your communication with REAL people will increase your skill tenfold. Their results can be experienced, rather than estimated. You can SEE the actual progress.

There is nothing wrong with reading about communication, or anything like that, but there is a fine line between reading and doing. I always suggest the ladder. This is where we separate boys from men, or girls from women; caregivers vs. doers. Sure, knowing is great, but when you really need to use all that knowledge won't mean anything if you haven't calibrated and integrated it into your personality. My point is that the best way to learn is to do it.

Active communication coach is the best approach to learn your social skills. It challenges you to improve. Forcing you to adapt, apply new strategies and really discover what works for you. Removing all the useless garbage and leaving you only with useful and applicable tools. Self-improvement is not just about learning skills and changing who you are, but getting rid of the garbage you have accumulated over the years of training (through the media, society, family, friends, what be) and leave you alone with the best of yourself. The best qualities you ALREADY HAVE. Sure, there are new skills to learn, but in the end, you will notice that it was there the whole time, you just had too many things hiding it.

Remember, it's you and being yourself is important. You already have everything you need, now is the time to refine what you learn, get rid of excess trash and gain control of your social life.
