Airlines offering cheap flights in South Africa

Getting around South Africa has never been so easy. There are currently four low-cost airlines offering cheap flights in South Africa, including Kulula.com, 1Time Airlines, Mango Airlines and Velvet Sky Aviation. There are two other airlines that offer regular flights throughout the country in economy, commercial and first class class.

Low-cost airlines offer free prices on flights in South Africa to certain destinations in an effort to make air travel possible for everyone. These non-luxury flights offer basic services without additional extras, such as complimentary meals and drinks on the flight, plus Velvet Sky Aviation, which provides complimentary beverages. Airlines do it however; They offer on-board purchase meals for passengers traveling in their airplanes, and with an average flight of around two hours, the lack of meals is a small feature for most passengers.

The destinations to which these airlines fly are limited to the demand for mass travel and, therefore, most airlines, if not all, do not include flights to smaller destinations such as Kimberley or Upington airport. These airports are only served by the national airline South African Airways and its subsidiaries SAA Express. King Shaka Airport

Smaller destinations, such as George Airport, the starting point for many Garden Route visitors, Bloemfontein Airport in the Province of the Free State and East London in the Eastern Cape, are served only by one or two of the airlines low cost next to South African Airways.

Lanseria's smallest airport is becoming a popular alternative destination airport for Johannesburg due to its proximity to the business center, it is serviced by Kulula.com and Mango Airlines for cheap flight options, as well as South African Airways.

The four low-cost airlines offer regular flights to Cape Town International Airport, Durban International Airport and Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport. The Cape Town and Durban route is served by Kulula.com, 1time Airlines and Mango Airlines. These flights are scheduled during peak hours seven days a week, but are not available as frequently or regularly as flights from Cape Town to Johannesburg, which are scheduled daily from all airlines with several flights available throughout the day. .

For passengers flying between Johannesburg and Durban, Velvet Sky Airlines, Kulula.com, 1Time Airlines and Mango Airlines offer scheduled flights between Durban King Shaka International Airport and OR Tambo International Airport. Kulula.com also offers cheap flights between Johannesburg Lanseria Airport and Durban King Shaka International Airport.
