1. Find wedding planners based on references and/or testimonials
The first step you need to take to choose a professional Bali wedding planner is to find those based on existing references and/or testimonials. If a particular wedding planner has a website, you can check the opinions listed there (if any). Hopefully at least one of the testimonials will provide a phone number, email address or some other form of contact information. Use this info to ask them what their experience was with that wedding planner.
If you want to choose a professional wedding planner based on multiple references, you may want to consider starting a discussion on a wedding card. Start a topic called "Choosing Professional Wedding Planners" and see what the members suggest.
Once you have assembled wedding planners based on referrals, proceed to the next step to choose a professional wedding planner. This involves attending their free consultation session if they offer one. At the free consultation session, you will be able to meet with them in person and see exactly what they have to offer. Beware of wedding planners who do not offer free consultations. They could provide excellent services, but without a proper introduction, you take a risk by using them. With a free consultation, you know what to expect in advance.
3. Determine their success
When choosing a wedding planner, you need to know how experienced and successful they are in the business. Wedding planners who can afford more sophisticated yellow pages listings, websites and other forms of advertising are probably more successful than the person with simpler ads. Also consider whether the wedding planner has its own office with employees, another indicator of their level of success.
Does that mean you should never consider the 'little guy' who may not have been so successful? Of course not ... even if you need to put things into perspective. Wedding planners who are not so successful should offset things by offering lower prices, free consultations and other things that can attract buyers. Don't pay $ 2,000 for a wedding planner who only made a couple of weddings when you can pay the same price for a more experienced wedding planner who has done hundreds. However, keep in mind wedding planners with fewer clients who can spend more time concentrating on your wedding.
