ENTER THE JOURNAL
I've been fortunate enough to have an on-and-off-again relationship with journaling for 12 years. I have gone through different methods, used different types of journals and have consistently changed the reasons why. As any good hubber will testify, write down what you know, or at least what you can find out and describe to others.
I plan to write a series of journal articles, including lists of requests to get these juices started, various methods and products, to be online or offline and others. For now, here is simple and concise information on the benefits of journal article editing services.
Healthy mind, healthy emotions
There are several studies showing the benefits of writing diaries or diaries. Just Google it, you can see why medical professionals, organic heath practitioners, psychologists, clergy and more recommend it for therapy, release and growth. Here are just a few of the benefits:
Increase your clarity
Remember concepts, thoughts and insights in your life
Reduce stress
Get focus
Grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally
Heals problems defines problems, provides solutions
Find out
Just think of journaling as a massive brain dump. Imagine lifting all the weight of the day, all the trouble and triumph, the fun and the boring, all just unloaded from your mind and on to the side. It is not as if things magically work themselves, or even within a short time, but you will slowly begin to see an improvement in the clarity and ability of your mind to deal with stress. As mentioned above, any stress relief tactic is important, and this is just one of many tools you can place in your toolbox (terrible cliche, but I like it so much - I have to journal about my cliche fetish). Here are some tips and tricks for getting started:
Sit and write for 10 minutes, non-stop. Use a timer. Not self-editing. Don't read it until the next day. Just clean and leave it at that.
Although "Dear Diary" sounds a little spacey, you write to someone - to yourself. Treat your diary as a person, as a friend, as a confidant.
This is an emotional release that you will enjoy.
If at some point you hit something you don't want, stop. Never feel the need to go somewhere you are unwilling or ready for yet.
An overview of activities
Not only is journal writing well for emotional health, but it is also a simple, usual way to record your thoughts and activities. In fact, I created a separate journal for just activities - things called the dentist, skipping class, fighting the law and the law - just the minutia of daily activities, but something you might want to refer to at a future date. Try these:-
I suggest using Evernote, MS OneNote, or any other program that is perfect for keywords, searching within the records and tags. That way, you can type "canceled discover card" and get the required confirmation number easily.
I also carry around an index card in my back pocket. I note down what I need and eventually transfer it to either my to-do list or activity diary.
Creative and ideas galore
You don't have to be an artist to create or a writer to write. In fact, some would say that just the act of writing or painting makes you a writer or a painter. Still, use your diary to note the small missions and stray sketches. Get in the habit of carrying around your pillow so you never have a chance to lose it. Some people use small notebooks, full-size planners, iPhones - whatever "capture" device you think is best works just fine.
Nothing stinks. Everything sucks. Don't worry about editing, censorship or other restrictive action. You have time for that later. Just note down the small grandeur blocks and sort through the awkwardness later
Choose the right pillow for your style. If you want lined, guided, grated, draft, empty - play around a bit and don't be afraid to switch things up when you need it. I have been through 8 different systems, methods and pillows for the last 10 years and I am still changing that.
