The best headbands to hide your clutter

Most women have dyed their hair at some point and we all know that it is not a low maintenance habit. Investing in headbands can prove to be a smart way to hide the annoying roots that are still returning. Headbands give you good coverage for your hairline. It is time-confusing and annoying to maintain your hair color. Temporarily learning how to hide your roots properly can not only save you money and time, but it is a quick way to look good even when your roots reach the top.

Thick headbands

Thick headbands are handy for camouflaging adult roots simply because they cover more of your hair. Thick headbands are cheap and come in almost any color, size and pattern. Thick  headbands for washing face are so easy to wear, just throw one in the morning and you don't have to worry if other people notice your roots. Since re-dyeing our hair is something we need to do every 4 weeks to maintain, thick headbands are a great solution if you do not have time to tackle them.

Thick headbands look great with hair worn up or down. If you want more of a carefree look, it always looks good to wear your hair in a messy bun. For example, if you Going to work and needing coverage with a thick headband, you choose to wear your hair down in curls. Adding some volume to your hair is a good idea to create flow and length. Mariah Carey does a good job of hiding her hairline so no one can see that it is actually darker than her blonde hair color.

Double up on thin headbands

Thick headbands are not always suitable for work or formal occasions. For a more grown-up look, you can double up on thin or glittery headbands that still give you the coverage for your roots. Wearing colorful or glittery headbands will usually distract people from looking at your roots too closely. You can see in the photo below that the blue headband effectively explains her root color and brings the main focus to the headband itself. It's also a great way to keep your hair out of your face as you work or hit the gym.

Scarf headband

Scarf headbands resemble very thick headbands, but usually have a thin, patterned material. They are fashionable and functional in the days you just don't want to look at your hair. Scarf headbands cover most of your hair when worn properly, depending on how you position it. This is ideal for women who do not have time to tackle their annoying roots. Scarves with scarves are also great for days when you run errands, do yard work or even just have a lazy day. Scarves with scarves are so versatile and are great for hiding roots that grow back in.

Play with your hairstyle

Ideally, you should visit your hairdresser every 4-6 weeks to retouch your roots depending on how fast your hair grows. The reality is that few women actually go along with this. Anything that draws attention away from your roots is ideal. Headbands are great cover-ups to hide unwanted roots. Another good tip is to play with your hairstyles. Even just changing your usual hair section can help hide the new roots for a while. You can even wear a hat or bobbin needles to hide those roots. You can also choose a hair color that is closer to your natural color so you don't have to return as often. This puts a little less strain on your wallet.
